The ITIL Service Project Manager will be responsible to improve the business’s operations by bringing a systematic and disciplined approach to the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes. The function of this position participates in projects and assignments that improve internal processes and performances, reports problems, analyses data and increase internal controls. The bulk of the work involves the collection and examination of data from database, software programs and information management systems.

  • The Service Project Manager ensures that organizational processes – and the goods and services that result – comply with the requirements of standards (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001), as well as customer, regulatory, and the organization's own requirements.
  • During an ISO audit you: verify that the management system is in compliance with the relevant ISO standard.
  • Check to ensure that the actions taken to meet the quality objectives of the organisation are suitable.
  • Determine internal project scope and develop annual plans
  • Act as an objective source of independent advice to ensure validity, legality and goal achievement
  • Identify loopholes and recommend risk aversion measures and cost savings
  • Maintain open communication with management and audit committees where applicable
  • Conduct follow up audits to monitor management’s interventions
  • Engage to continuous knowledge development regarding sector’s rules, regulations, best practices, tools, techniques, and performance standards
  • Ensures compliance with established internal control procedures by examining records, reports, operating practices, and documentation.
  • Verifies assets and liabilities by comparing items to documentation.
  • Completes project work papers by documenting tests and findings.
  • Appraises adequacy of internal control systems by completing project questionnaires.
  • Maintains internal control systems by updating programs and questionnaires, recommending new policies and procedures.
  • Communicates project findings by preparing a final report, discussing findings with Stakeholders.
  • Complies with federal, state, and local security legal requirements by studying existing and new security legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
  • Prepares special projects and control reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing operating information and trends.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Set projects priorities and determine the time required to complete each project assignment.
  • Adhere to auditing standards established by the company’s audit department.
  • Ensure that previous audit recommendations are addressed and implemented.
  • Develop well-crafted project reports including results and recommendations for management.
  • Schedule meetings with management to clearly understand the company processes and policies.
  • Address operational issues in promptly.
  • Identify best practices to meet audit requirements in a timely manner.
  • Maintain clear and complete documentation.


Requirements

  • 2 – 5 years working experience as ITIL Service Project Manager - (audit experience)
  • 2 – 5 years’ experience of auditing standards and procedures, laws, rules and regulations
  • Experience within a Telecommunication environment would be advantageous
  • ITIL or ISO certifications would be advantageous
  • Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases
  • Ability to manipulate large amounts of data and to compile detailed reports
