You will be part of a technical provisioning team, responsible for supporting the hosting components of converged network infrastructure across both virtual and physical hosting environments.
Your contribution will include:
Supporting and delivering hosting solutions within complex telecommunications and ICT environments.
Implementing hosting solutions in line with approved technical designs and project requirements.
Working with virtual and physical hosting infrastructure, server platforms and data centre technologies.
Providing technical guidance and recommendations to customers on hosting solutions.
Working with DNS configurations, email platforms, email security and networking technologies.
Supporting security technologies, including FortiGate firewalls.
Assisting with backup solutions and maintaining reliable hosting environments.
Liaising with customers throughout hosting projects and ensuring technical requirements are understood and addressed.
Collaborating with internal technical teams and other stakeholders to ensure successful solution delivery.
Supporting the sales process with technical input and hosting expertise where required.
Keeping project information, technical documentation and progress updates accurate and up to date.
We are looking for someone who combines solid technical knowledge with a practical, solutions-driven mindset.
Essential experience and qualifications:
A relevant IT Diploma or Bachelor's Degree, or Matric accompanied by relevant IT certifications.
Approximately 5 to 6 years of hands-on experience in hosting and infrastructure technologies.
At least 3 years of experience working in a complex ISP, data centre or hosting environment.
Experience with virtual and physical hosting environments.
Knowledge of ISP-class data centre hosting systems and server hardware platforms.
Strong understanding of IP and ICT technologies, networking and converged infrastructure.
Practical knowledge of DNS configurations, email technologies and email security.
Experience with security technologies, including FortiGate firewalls.
Knowledge of backup solutions and data centre infrastructure.
A valid VMware VCP and/or Cisco CCNA certification.
The flexibility to work outside standard business hours when operational requirements demand it.
