For Strategic Tech Optimizers Who See the Gaps Before Others Do
Are you the kind of architect who does not just design systems, but sees patterns, identifies gaps, and optimises complexity into clarity?
This role is for a strategic, forward-thinking OSS Architect who thrives at the intersection of technology, operations, and business impact. If you are driven by solving hard problems, shaping future-state architectures, and building OSS ecosystems that actually work, this opportunity was designed for you.
The Opportunity
You will take ownership of end-to-end OSS architecture, leading the design, integration, and evolution of Operations Support Systems across enterprise and fixed-line services. Your work will directly influence service reliability, scalability, and customer experience.
This is not a passive architecture role. You will shape decisions, guide delivery, and influence outcomes across multiple platforms, teams, and stakeholders.
What You Will Be Trusted With
Leading OSS architecture aligned to ITIL, TM Forum ODA, and eTOM frameworks
Designing and governing end-to-end OSS solutions, including
Network discovery and inventory
Events, metrics, incidents, problems, and changes
Provisioning and activation
Architecting integrations across northbound and southbound systems, with a strong preference for TMF Open APIs
Working with enterprise fixed-line products such as SD-WAN, Fixed Mobile, Microwave, and Satellite
Collaborating closely with business analysts, project managers, and system owners to translate demand into scalable architecture
Supporting demand management through effort estimation, dependency mapping, and architectural impact analysis
Providing architectural leadership in data modelling, data warehousing, and foundational OSS data practices
Acting as a subject matter expert across projects, upgrades, operational improvements, and customer RFPs
Your Impact Will Be Measured By
Clear, actionable OSS architecture blueprints and standards
Successful delivery of OSS projects within agreed timelines and budgets
Accurate and well-maintained system inventories, CMDBs, and integration maps
Improved architectural consistency, resilience, and scalability
Strong feedback from delivery teams and business stakeholders
The Tools and Ecosystem
You will work within a modern OSS landscape that includes
Custom OSS assurance engines
Service management and provisioning platforms
TR-069 device management solutions
Big data and observability platforms
Who You Are
You are not just technical, you are strategic.
You naturally think in systems, understand downstream impacts, and optimise for long-term value rather than short-term fixes. You are comfortable making decisions, influencing stakeholders, and mentoring others.
Skills That Set You Apart
Deep experience with modern OSS architectures, including
Network management
Physical and logical inventory
REST-based integrations
Service assurance and OSS data models
Strong knowledge of TM Forum ODA, eTOM, and related frameworks
Proven expertise in data architecture, modelling, and warehousing
Ability to translate complex architectures for both technical and non-technical audiences
Strong analytical, estimation, and problem-solving skills
Experience in agile environments, demand management, and backlog grooming
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or similar
7+ years’ experience in telecommunications OSS environments
Proven delivery of OSS solutions at scale
Certifications in ITIL, TOGAF, TM Forum, or similar frameworks (advantageous)
Experience with ServiceNow Telecommunications modules will be beneficial
Why This Role Matters
This is a role for someone who wants to shape the future of OSS, not just maintain it. Your decisions will influence how networks are monitored, services are delivered, and customers experience technology.
If you are a Proactive Tech Optimizer who enjoys turning complexity into competitive advantage, this is where your thinking belongs
